Honey Saves Hives program welcomes new partners to program
The National Honey Board partners with Bachan’s and Just Ice Tea to spotlight the role honey bees play in the food system.
The National Honey Board celebrated April’s Earth Month by announcing two new partners for its Honey Saves Hives program, which spotlights the important role honey bees play in our food system. Bachan’s and Just Ice Tea will be joining the roster of food brand partners for 2025, promoting how they support honey bee health and beekeepers by using honey in their products.
Bachan’s celebrated the new partnership last week with the launch of its new Hot Honey Japanese Barbecue Sauce. Sweet Honey Japanese Barbecue Sauce, launched in 2024, is available nationwide. Just Ice Tea announced its partnership this week, promoting its flagship Honey Green Tea, Moroccan Mint Green Tea and new canned Enjoy Mint Tea, which debuted at Natural Products Expo.
Throughout the year, Honey Saves Hives partners promote the important role of honey bees and beekeepers. Honey bees are responsible for more than 35 percent of the foods we eat and the honey that we enjoy. As honey bee populations continue to face challenges and experience rates of decline, protecting these pollinators is becoming even more crucial to our ecosystem and food supply.
“We are thrilled to partner with Bachan’s and Just Ice Tea, two organizations that share our mission of protecting honey bees, and in turn, our food supply,” Catherine Barry, National Honey Board vice president of marketing, says. “I encourage consumers to support these brands the next time they’re at the supermarket.”
The full list of Honey Saves Hives partners include:
