Agriculture official reviews beekeeping, training activities in Ibb

Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources for Livestock Affairs undersecretary Dr. Abdulraouf al-Shawkani on Thursday visited Ibb province to review the activities of the breeding apiary, beekeeper training center, and honey production facilities.

During the visit, al-Shawkani inspected the central nursery and apiary pastures, emphasizing the importance of developing high-quality honey production and promoting competitive market capabilities.

He also highlighted plans to plant Sidr and Tannb trees to support sustainable beekeeping, protect the environment, and improve rural livelihoods, while stressing the need for community awareness programs on the impacts of tree felling and pasture preservation.
