French Bee arrives in Montreal: flights starting at $449 to Paris from April 30

French low-cost airline French Bee announced Wednesday (Jan. 29) that it will make its official entry into Quebec on April 30.

As shared at a press conference at Espace Vieux-Port in Montreal, the carrier will operate four weekly flights year-round between Montreal-Trudeau and Paris-Orly. Introductory prices starting at $449 are available now.
In addition, from July 4 to August 31, 2025, a fifth flight will be added to meet increased demand during the summer period.

A member of the Dubreuil Group, the company specializes in long-haul flights, with a modern fleet of six latest generation Airbus A350s and an à la carte offer.

The arrival of this new route between Montreal-Trudeau and Paris-Orly, which have been open for sale since October, is part of the company's growth strategy aimed at strengthening its presence in North America.

After developing its network in the United States with connections to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Miami, French Bee is now expanding its offer in Canada.

Founded in 2016, the company has a network of seven routes: Reunion, San Francisco, Papeete, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and now Montreal.

“We are really happy to have exceeded our expectations with already 15,000 tickets sold on this new line. If demand continues like this, we could consider increasing the number of flights,” said Grégory Jamet, executive vice-president RMPP at French Bee.

“With the opening of this new destination to Montreal, French Bee is expanding its international network, from 6 to 7 long-haul destinations, in response to the growing demand for business and leisure travel. This connection will strengthen local partnerships and facilitate trade between Canada and France.”

Why did French Bee choose Montreal as its seventh destination?

Montreal represents a point of convergence for many European expatriates and students, explained the vice-president. He also highlighted that Quebec ranks third in long-haul destinations from Paris, after New York and Reunion.
Paris-Orly: quick and convenient access to Paris

Still, according to Grégory Jamet, the choice of Orly airport for French Bee flights has several advantages.

Orly, for one, allows you to reach the centre of Paris in just 35 minutes, providing faster and more convenient access than Charles de Gaulle.

Since June 2024, direct metro access via line 14 has increased the efficiency of this modern airport. In addition, it constitutes an ideal gateway to the rest of France and Europe, facilitating connections for travellers.

What can travel advisors expect?

Grégory Jamet told PAX that the company is currently working on its trade offer, in particular future commissions, which are currently being negotiated. For now, flights can be booked through Air Caraibes.

Carl Brochu, vice-president of operations and air development at Aeroports de Montreal, who was also present during the event, said he was delighted, on behalf of Aéroports de Montréal, to welcome French Bee for the very first time in Montreal.

“With the addition of this airline to our list of carriers operating in Montreal, our passengers will have an additional option to explore the City of Lights. It is the diversity of the offer that makes our air service so rich, and we are determined to offer travelers ever more choice,” he said.
