Delaware Beekeepers Association holding Beekeeping 101



The Delaware Beekeepers Association will hold Beekeeping 101, a one-day intensive course, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 25, 2025, at the St. Jones Reserve.

The planned agenda, subject to change, includes:

  • Registration & Networking
  • Introductory to Apiculture
  • Honey Bee Biology
  • Managing the Colony
  • Equipment and Placement of Equipment
  • General Colony Inspection
  • Where/How to Obtain Bees
  • Bees: Open Discussion

A 2025 Delaware Beekeepers Association membership is required for registration. The cost is $85 single registration and includes a book, “Honey Bee Biology & Beekeeping” and lunch or $130 family of 2 registration and includes one book to share, “Honey Bee Biology and Beekeeping” and lunch.

Registration is nonrefundable, no exceptions.

Registration will be open Jan. 1-18, 2025. Event registration will be available on the Delaware Beekeepers Association website at delawarebeekeepers.com. Due to limited space, walk-in registrations will not be accepted.
